wonderful wednesday from james whitakers hair salon

Wednesday live from James Whitaker hair salon saluting country greats Glen Campbell and Glenn Frey who leads us nicely into rediscovering the beauty of Fools Gold….Starting out as Dan Fogelberg’s backing band, Fool’s Gold decided to strike out on their own with their eponymous disc.
Full of high harmony and easy country-rock tunes, Fool’s Gold will warm the hearts of anyone who is a fan of such bands as the Eagles or Poco.
Highlights include “Rain, Oh Rain,” “Rollin’ Fields and Meadows,” and a cover of Fogelberg’s own “Old Tennessee.” Helped out by such friends as Glyn Johns, Glenn Frey, and Joe Walsh along the way, Fool’s Gold had just the right blend of country and rock to entice listeners of all genres to enjoy their music, a truly beautiful collection of songs and performances by possibly country rocks most overlooked band.
