Magnificent Monday

Have a Magnificent Monday JJers…Today we are celebrating the lost genius Curt Boettcher, sometimes credited as Curt Boetcher or Curt Becher, was born on January 7, 1944 and passed away on June 14, 1987, he was a brilliant songwriter and pioneering producer the creator of Sunshine Pop he worked with such legends as the Association, The Millenium, Sagittarius, The Beach Boys, Tommy Roe, Elton JohnGene Clark, Tandyn Almer, Paul Revere & The Raiders Emitt Rhodes The Goldebriars, The Ballroom, Eric Carmen, Dennis Wilson 1944-1983Mike Love and many other at the time of his death he was working with Randy California.
In its obituary the New Yorks Times wrote of Boettcher: "If his life had gone just a bit differently, [he] might have been recognised as another Brian Wilson. … As it stands, Boettcher — a pop-music producer whose heyday was the late ’60s — now survives in rock history mostly as a liner-note credit. He could have been, but never was. Yet he enjoys a godlike status among a select group of music fans, for whom obscurity is more enticing than fame."

We are breakfasting with the Millenium and Sagittarius and then rarities until 12 when we start a run down of every Curt 45rpm in chronological order.
